Project: The Perfect Migrant
Client: Monash University Library

Brief:
Franz Philipp was one of many forced migrants during the world war. Due to this, he was shipped on HMT Dunera to Australia in the 1930s where he was called an enemy alien. During his time in Australia, he wrote poems expressing his thoughts and emotions.
The client wished to transform his poems into reality by creating mesmerising visuals.

In order to display these emotions, I designed, illustrated, and animated my interpretation with the help of my colleague Taniya Bose who designed the 8D audio experience.

Adobe Illustrator was used to design the vector graphics and then exported to Adobe After Effects for Animation.

The use of picture frame is to make viewers feel they're looking at a moving painting.
Thanks for watching!
